Idaho Springs Town Party

Live Music + Festivities start on Miner Street !

Celebrate Independence Day in downtown Idaho Springs as we honor both America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary. Join us on historic Miner Street for a day of live music, family activities, local vendors, food, and community fun.

Throughout the day, enjoy train rides, a climbing wall, bounce slides, giveaways, local performances, and activities for all ages.

While fireworks will not take place this year due to fire restrictions, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate. Explore historic downtown Idaho Springs, visit the Charlie Tayler Waterwheel, experience the ARGO Mill & Tunnel, soak in the hot springs, or make a reservation to explore Mount Blue Sky.

Silver Plume Festivities

2:00 pm   ~  Ice Cream Social at Dinger Park

Enjoy a festive ice cream social complete with homemade cakes, pies, refreshments, and of course ice cream at Dinger Park, located at 310 Main Street in Silver Plume, Colorado. Please drop in from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit People for Silver Plume.

The George Rowe Museum is located across the street and is open daily from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Take a tour of the original schoolhouse and learn about the history of Silver Plume and unique mining past. There is a small entrance fee to help support People for Silver Plume and ongoing historic preservation. Learn more at peopleforsilverplume.org

Train Ride Festivities

Ride the Historic Georgetown Loop Railroad

One of Colorado’s most iconic attractions, the Georgetown Loop Railroad offers a journey through Clear Creek Canyon aboard a historic narrow-gauge train. Travel across towering trestles, through mountain scenery, and over the famous Devil’s Gate High Bridge while discovering the stories of Colorado’s mining and railroad heritage. Guests can choose from scenic train excursions, mine tours, and seasonal special events throughout the year.

Plan Ahead: Popular departure times, weekends, holidays, and special events frequently sell out. Advance reservations are strongly recommended, and visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets before arriving. Tickets can be purchased online at the Georgetown Loop Railroad website or by calling 888-456-6777.
