I-70 Things + Mayor Parker the Snow Dog
Georgetown, Colorado Mayor, Parker the Snow Dog teamed up this weekend with popular social media site “I-70 Things” and the Colorado Department of Transportation (C-DOT) to host an I-70 Highway Cleanup.
Local residents, Rotary Club members and volunteers from all over the State of Colorado came out to help the furry mayor clean up the I-70 section that runs through the historic mountain town.
An estimated 1,000 pounds of trash was picked up in two hours. After the event, volunteers enjoyed a beer social in town at the Guanella Pass Brewery.
Honorary Mayor Parker the Snow Dog & “I-70 Things” are already planning future I-70 cleanup days. Until then… Parker urges travelers not to litter so we can help keep Colorado beautiful.
